
Hearts of Oak ( 2020), also set in a City whose nature defines the tale, Equipoisally mixes fantasy and sf in a manner very mildly reminiscent of China Miéville the city, which is unnamed, seems to preserve itself in a kind of Pocket Universe stasis, an unchanging state interrupted by the arrival of a Mysterious Stranger. Tomorrow Never Knows ( 2015), set in a City-sized Space Habitat orbiting Jupiter, examines crises that may doom this modest Macrostructure. Robson's first novel, Bram Stoker's Dracula ( 2009) with Nicola L Robinson, is a Young Adult take on Bram Stoker's Vampire tale. He has also written several Radio plays for the Doctor Who universe Welcome to our Village, Please Invade Carefully (BBC Radio 4 5 July 2012), not connected to that series, comically traces the effects of an Alien Invasion on a small town in Buckinghamshire, near London.
